Hands-On Wet Labs

Our hands-on labs are designed to move beyond theory and into real-world application. These immersive sessions give veterinary professionals the opportunity to work directly with live patients under expert guidance, building practical skills they can confidently use in practice.

Each lab emphasizes sound clinical decision-making, precise technique, and evidence-based protocols, with a strong focus on anatomy, palpation, and treatment accuracy. Whether you are new to advanced modalities or refining existing skills, these labs are built to support better outcomes for both patients and practitioners.

Hands-On Wet Lab: Shockwave Therapy for Post-Surgical Treatment

Saturday, August 15, 2026 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM ET | Kinetic Veterinary Specialists · Orlando area

5 RACE-approved CE credits.
$199 registration

Join us for a full-day hands-on wet lab with Kirsty Oliver, one of the most experienced canine rehabilitation instructors in the field, and Eric Herman, DVM, DACVS-SA, a board-certified small animal surgeon, as they lead an immersive training day on the use of focused shockwave therapy in post-surgical treatment.

The morning session, led by Kirsty Oliver, covers shockwave application across key rehabilitation presentations — including distal limb joints and tendons, axial skeletal pain, and myofascial kinetic lines — with attendees rotating through three dedicated small-group hands-on stations. The afternoon shifts to the surgical perspective:

Dr. Herman presents a case-based lecture on surgical indications for shockwave therapy, with particular attention to TPLO and non-healing bone cases, followed by hands-on positioning and treatment practice for post-surgical patients using the PiezoWave²ᵀ Vet. The day closes with an open discussion on clinical integration over lunch.

This lab is designed for rehabilitation veterinarians and surgical teams who want to build a stronger clinical bridge between the OR and the rehab suite — and leave with techniques they can apply immediately. Seating is limited to keep station groups small.
